Requirements for the mounting of photovoltaic modules in the residential sector
Main Article Content
Abstract
Over the years, electricity consumption has grown exponentially, as the industry develops more efficiently, but also contributes to more consumption equipment in the residential sector, and therefore a greater contribution of this sector in the demand curve. In Cuba this phenomenon is clearly observed, more than 56 % of the demand comes from the tertiary sector, and the country's main electricity peak coincides with the highest demand in the Cuban families. The influence of the residential sector dictates that our curve has a load factor of less than 67 %, although years ago it was less than 59 %, but cooking by gas and consequently the reduction in the demand for the night peak for this reason, improved this very important index when it comes to knowing how much power with renewable sources of energy an electrical system can assume. Within the generation with renewable sources, the photovoltaic generation is one of the most potential in Cuba, and although the policy dictates its use on a large scale (utility) it is necessary to exploit the potential existing in the tertiary sector and in the small and medium industry (Behind the meter). In view of this, this work is carried out where the requirements that photovoltaic systems must have for their implementation in Cuba are argue.
