Feasibility study of the application of solar energy in an ice cream plant

Abstract

This study was carried out in an icecream plant and its objective was to evaluate the technical economic and environmental feasibility of the use of solar energy in the icecream pasteurization process. It was shown that from the technical and economic point of view it is feasible to achieve the objective using flat collectors, whose price ranges between 150-300$/m2.
