Ecoacustica for conservation

Abstract

This article reviews the literature on the importance of ecoacoustics as a discipline and tool for accurately assessing the impact of climate change on the planet. The production of sound in animals depends to a large extent on their metabolism, and at the same time is intrinsically related to environmental temperature, among other factors; this is why its field of action is broad, complex and diverse. Due to its non-invasive character and remarkable practical application, it becomes a scientific method for the determination and greater understanding of current environmental transformations. Its multifactorial nature requires greater dissemination and depth of its theoretical and practical assumptions.
