Methodology for the nomination of slow farms in Cuba
Main Article Content
Abstract
The paper exposes the basis for the conception and application of the Methodology for the nomination of Slow Farms in Cuba, based on the evaluation of different design and management indicators. The actions carried out made possible the characterization of the farms, with integrating criteria based on technological, educational, cultural and environmental aspects. The principles that make up the methodology are discussed, as well as the results of its application in three Cuban farms. The results show the validity of the applied instrument and its transforming action, and the possibility of recommendations that will allow these productive spaces to achieve better indicators in their agroecological management. It is an instrument that contributes to the promotion of new Slow Farms and the strengthening of a network that integrates these farms in a regional movement.
